Like the old saying goes, "you get out of it what you put in to it". You can just join and wait to see if anyone's DNA matches up with your DNA. that's perfectly fine, that is what most people will do. You WILL get more enjoyment out of it if you take on a task such as a Forums Moderator, Recruiter, Article Writer, Line-Leader (when we get going), or other easy task. If you are really ambitious, and know this is your thing, become a Co-Admin.
Members can participate in the following ways:
- Lab Results Interpretation
- Newsletter Editor
- Richmond Family Forums Moderator and/or Administrator (Organize Threads, Maintain Order, and help answer posts.)
- Recruiter (Announce Project on genealogy websites and email other Richmond Family Researchers)
- Historian/Information Coordinator (Search out/organize links to other websites and other items of interest to the Richmond Family.)
- Grant Writer/Test Fund Coordinator
- Everyone is encouraged to submit articles and/or news items of interest, for posting on the website.
THESE THINGS CAN BE DONE AS LITTLE OR AS MUCH AS YOU DESIRE. YOU DON'T HAVE TO TAKE ON THE WHOLE RESPONSIBILITY.
