This section is ONLY for the Richmond Surname and it's variant spellings. It will be transferred to the Patriarch Page of the website's DNA Project section. Please DO NOT add formatting.

NOTE: If you would like to make your pedigree available ONLY to Project Participants, you can send it to the Administrator.  To do so, please follow these instructions and CLICK HERE.

The pedigree will map the top paternal line of your family tree.

  • Start with your Earliest Known Ancestor (EKA).
  • Include yourself (or the Project Participant).
  • Pedigrees DO NOT include brothers and sisters.
  • Keep to one generation per line.
  • Provide your name and email address, so that other researchers can contact you.
    The email address will be disguised in order to avoid spam (ie. yourname AT something DOT com)
  • This is not the place to list every known detail - Keep to the four(4) categories.
  • If you do not know the info for a field, you MAY leave it blank OR substitute some other fact.
  • Often, something special is listed on the first generation, as usually little is known about him.
  • Use commas only to separate the fields.

  • POST AS FOLLOWS:
    First Middle LAST NAME, b Birth Date, Birth Place, m Wife Name
    - SUBJECT of message should be the EKA and his Birth Date

Please use these abbreviations:

m = married
b = birth date
d = death date
c1930 = circa (around) 1930
Co = County
VA = Virginia (GA for Georgia, CA for California, etc.)

Date Format: DD Mon YYYY  (Include only YEAR of birth for those born after 1930)

*** Refer to the next message as a sample. ***

Post your Pedigree here. (Opens the construct new message window.)
